AMBIENT AIR CLEANERS – WELDING BAY

A large Upper Midwestern Fabrication and Machining Company had to work on compliance with state and local guidelines. They were having trouble in their fabrication shops, repair areas and burn room. The customer wanted to look at a full scale solution that would be suitable for each application and be consistent throughout the facility. With several obstacles in the facility it was difficult to work with a centralized dust collection system. The Industrial Maid distributor worked with them to provide 48 each T 6000 style units with 2" poly filter savers pads, 4" pleats and Merv 15 main bags. These units were placed into all of the areas of the plant that had issues with welding and cutting operations. A total of 22 units were placed in the fabrication shop bays, 13 units in the repair bays, 8 units in the machine/saw bays and 5 units in the burn room. Push pull patterns were developed to have quick air changes in the work spaces and to keep the exhaust of any contaminants to the outside of the building.
